Pay for the first year upfront and it's 50% off that year — a Starter build's plan is $395 instead of $790, which also settles the 12-month minimum term in one payment. Or pay monthly and it's 40% off for your first 6 months — $47/mo instead of $79/mo — after which the plan moves to its normal published rate. The monthly discount stops at month 6 rather than month 12 on purpose: you spend the back half of the term paying the real rate, so when the term ends and you're free to leave, you're deciding on a number you've already been living with rather than being surprised by one. It's 5 spots because the studio takes on a limited number of builds at a time, and a discount everyone got forever would just be the price.

Is there a discount for paying for the year upfront?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it isn't a promotion — it's permanent. Paying annually costs 10 months rather than 12, so a Starter plan is $790 a year instead of $948, saving $158. It also covers the 12-month minimum term in a single payment, so there's nothing further to think about for a year. It's the option the studio would rather you took, which is why it's the better price and why the founding discount is bigger on it — one payment upfront is worth more to a studio this size than the same money spread across twelve card charges, and that difference is passed to you instead of pocketed. You can switch between monthly and annual at any renewal.

Are hosting and the domain name really included?

Accepted Answer

Yes — both, in the monthly plan. There is no separate hosting bill, and no renewal invoice arriving once a year for the domain. Register the domain through the studio and it's paid for as long as you're on a plan, with you named as the owner the entire time; ask for it back and it's transferred out, no argument and no exit fee. If you already own your domain, keep it exactly where it is — we point it at your new site and nothing about your registrar changes. The one exception is a premium or aftermarket name, the kind resold for hundreds or thousands on the open market: those are bought on your behalf at cost, with the number agreed in writing before anything is spent, and the name is yours.

Will my site have a ThapaWeb credit on it?

Yes — one small “Built by ThapaWeb” line in the footer, linking back here. It's part of what keeps the published setup fees where they are, and it's mentioned on this page rather than discovered on launch day. It's a single discreet line of text: not a badge, not a banner, and not something that competes with your own branding. If you'd rather your site didn't carry it, raise it before the build starts and it gets discussed then.

Why is there a 12-month term?

Accepted Answer

Because the setup fee still doesn't cover the full build — the monthly plan does. A build runs to weeks of work; the setup fee covers part of it and the term covers the rest, which is what keeps the number at the start smaller than the work behind it. It's disclosed here, on the contract, and in your onboarding email, and you consent to the renewal separately rather than it being buried in the paperwork. After the term, cancel any time with 30 days' notice, by the same route you signed up.

Why pay this when Shopify, Wix or Squarespace exist?

Because those hand you a theme and a boundary. Every site built here is designed from a blank page for your business — your layout, your words, your ideas — and there is no list of things the platform won't let you have. If you can describe a feature, you get a straight answer on whether it's buildable and an exact price before anything starts; a booking flow that matches how you actually work, a calculator, a members' area, a connection to the system you already run. On top of that: the site is built to load in under a second, it's structured so ChatGPT and Perplexity can quote it, and when it breaks at 2am somebody is alerted and fixes it. A builder subscription gives you software and leaves the work to you. If all you genuinely need is a template with your logo on it, a builder is the honest answer and you'll be told that instead of sold a build.

Can't I just build a site with AI myself?

You can, and for some businesses that's the right call. What an AI builder won't do: connect your CRM, configure payments and taxes, structure your site so AI search engines cite you, or notice at 2am that it went down and start fixing it. You're paying for the parts after the template.

How customised is it really?

Accepted Answer

Completely. Nothing here is assembled from a stock theme, and the tier you pick buys scale rather than permission — a five-page Starter is designed as specifically for you as a Signature build is. Bring what you've pictured, however unusual: the shape of the pages, an interaction you saw somewhere, a feature nobody else in your trade has. Anything genuinely beyond a tier's scope isn't refused, it's scoped and quoted as an addition, in writing, before it's built. The only thing you won't hear is that the platform can't do it.

What happens if I cancel?

After the 12-month term, cancel any time with 30 days' notice. Your domain is yours — if the studio has been paying for it, it gets transferred to whatever registrar account you name, and from then on you pay for it like anyone else. Your content is yours. I'll hand over a full export — no hostage situations.

Do you guarantee AI search rankings?

No — and be careful with anyone who does. AI engines change constantly and nobody controls their answers. What I guarantee: your site is technically structured for them, your visibility is measured monthly, and drops get properly investigated — not left to a dashboard.

What's the difference between SEO, GEO, and AEO?

SEO is being found in classic search engines like Google. GEO (generative engine optimization) is being cited by AI assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity when someone asks for a recommendation. AEO (answer engine optimization) is structuring content so those engines can quote you as a direct answer. Every site I build is structured for all three — and this site is the proof.

How does e-commerce pricing work?

Flat. An online store is a Custom-tier build — from $3,500 setup and $199/month — with unlimited products and no per-product fees, ever. Catalog size never changes the price; only genuine complexity (custom integrations, migrations from another platform) affects the one-time setup quote, and you see that number before committing. The monthly plan covers hosting, security, payment-system updates, and monitoring, same as every other tier.

How fast will my site actually be?

The target on every build is a sub-second first load on a normal phone connection — static HTML, images sized correctly, no bloated page builders. Speed is measured before launch and monitored after, because a fast site converts better and ranks better everywhere.
